I'm putting together a music server for my house, this will be a dedicated computer for just music, music will be stored in mp3 format on several hard drives
included in this system will be a digital output to my stereo system, so I will probably put in a high quality sound card, a video out card to show special effects such as plugins for winamp (cthuga etc..) which produce various colorful patterns on the screen. I don't think I'll ever buy cd's again......for now i am looking for suggestions on how to make the front end of this unit ie the user interface, I could go with windows but want something more reliable... any thoughts please email me, thanks,
Hydro
